Update
A small update - no new features but a fix of some possible mesh instabilities.
And new: a trailer video! Itch.io actually recommended to do a trailer. A Gamedev community member had asked for one, too. So I did.
My problem was this... all recommendations for trailer videos say "Show the best parts!" Yeah, it's partly a game of exploration. Finding places. Discover their meaning. The last I want is to show the best places in the trailer when it's crucial that the players do not know that these places even exist. Telling... no, worse, showing the player certain places in advance, would remove agency from him or her. They can not develop the idea anymore, what's left is only the decision "Will I go there or not?". So I had to be vague, knowing that costs me some players who prefer sensational content. (Though, I was fair and gave some hints. Had I only shown the place where you start, it would have been boring, and anyone would have concluded that it's a boring game. )
So - the standard rules do not apply here. I know there are many great and successful trailers out there which fulfill the formula. But they would not fit for this game.
My game, my rules.
Your agency.
